Our decoys are remarkably durable, but they are not indestructible. We suggest that you treat them as you would any wooden object that's out in the weather–if they get dinged, touch them up with any paint that will prevent water from getting to the raw wood. It doesn't have to match exactly; the birds don't seem to notice. It's best though to contact us. We'll be glad to provide you with the information your volunteers will need to rehab your decoys during the off season so they will be all ready to go again come Spring.
